Adding a "Y" or "SY" to a players last name to create a nickname is part of the fabric of hockey. Same as fighting and using a black puck. It cannot be changed.

Its very rare to find an original hockey nickname these days.

As a Canucks fan. I find Kes, Burr, and Hammer a little lame.

Bieksas name Juice is easily the most creative on the team.

Should he get tested?

With the Penguins there were the obvious of Sid the Kid, Flower, Tanger and Geno, but Staal was nicknamed Gronk by Colby Armstrong after this:

If he can, let him play.
N64, I kinda like it. like you said, it is original

Also I don't know why I never did this before, but I just added Ad blocker to my Google chrome at no cost and it is the greatest thing. No ads on the side of the screen, no pop ups and no Julie videos. It is amazing.

Sorry for being uninformed here but, why would Nuge get to play in the AHL? I thought you had to be 20, or does that agreement end with the current CBA?

Also, I like N64. Short, catchy and better than Yak.

I read once that most of Dubnyk's teammates call him Big Easy. Thats a pretty good one.

They made a exception for Bergeron last lockout. Whether they make an exception for Nuge remains to be seen

I was wondering the same thing. Eberle and Hall should both be able play though.

It is. I don't know how or why it took so long for me to do, it took all of 30 seconds.

If there is a lock out, do you think the Barons will stay in OKC, or move to Edmonton à la Roadrunners?

Not really sure tbh. It says Dubey on his helmet and thats what most people seem to call him.

I'd rather have him play in the AHL than nowhere. This whole lockout is bullpoop. I just don't understand why they can't continue negotiations into the season and keep the current CBA until a new agreement is reached.

This was just something I thought today, but I think I'd send Paajarvi and Lander back to Sweden if there is a lockout. Let them play at home where they're comfortable, could be the best thing to happen to them.
